The Trustees
This is a body of people whose specific responsibilities are to maintain
the more practical and secular aspects of running this church, through the
administration of the Netherfield Chapel Trust first set up in 1972. They are sometimes
referred to as deacons and look after the physical building and its grounds,
which may include business affairs, finance, property, legislation, stewarding,
publicity, catering, health and welfare, legal matters, or other areas as
may be necessary from time to time.
Whilst the ministry of the trustees is secular and to do with material things,
each member must also be a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and have
the gift of helping, administering or serving within the church.
Normally, this team is made up of a few members of the congregation found
to have experience in practical matters, plus the elders. The current trustees
are:
Robert Adamson, Neville Wearring, John Hammett, Nigel Sheppard, Stan Lodge,
Alistair Wearring and Justin Wearring.
